For German Salafists, Leicester Is Open For Business

The German press announced a series of raids on Wednesday, February 8, aimed at two Algerian brothers, ages 32 and 39.  These brothers are accused of funneling money and material to Jabhat al-Nusrah and its variant organizations for years through the non-profit organization Medizin mit Herz, which sits in Hennef by Bonn.  Authorities have been aware of the group for some time and keep it under observation due to its known ties to the local Salafist scene. Mumbai-Style in Düsseldorf

Authorities made three arrests on Thursday in different locations throughout Germany in relation to a terror plot aimed at the historic district of Düsseldorf.  Hamza C., age 27, was arrested at a refugee center in the small Brandenburg town of Bliesdorf (some articles say Wriezen, a neighboring town, so it is possibly in between the two).  The second suspect, 25-year-old Mahood B., was arrested in Mülheim an der Ruhr in the German state of North Rhein-Westphalia.  The third, 31-year-old Abd Arahman A.K., was arrested in Leimen, a town of 25,000 just south of Heidelberg in the German state of Baden-Württemberg.
