Missed It By That Much

As new details emerge on the killers of Father Hamel, it appears like another story of missed opportunities with a troubling new development of collaboration per convenience.

In my last article, I mentioned the second killer, Abdel Malik Nabil Petitjean (aka Abu Omar), but didn’t say much about him because we had very few details at the time.  Now much of the story is revolving about him.  Petitjean is the son of Yamina Boukezzoula and was adopted as an infant by her former husband Franck Petitjean.  He has two sisters, the younger of whom is the child of Franck and Yamina.  He is originally from Saint-Die-des-Vosges, but moved a number of times with his family, living in Montluçon from 2008 to 2012, Seynod (Haute-Savoie) and finally with his mother in Aix-les-Bains (Savoie).
